I'm a writer and software developer. I have a wall of screens on my desk. Getting material into digital form means I can read it on those screens.

A fair comparison takes into account the other presentation modes available for digital data. Yes, I scribble on paper sometimes. I'd love something which did a great job of converting my scrawls into simple vector images rather than hi-res photos.

I've been chasing some kind of holy grail of scribble to digital for decades (I still have a CrossPad).

Digital data also has more portability - I can pull things up on my phone without having to carry N notebooks.

Searchability powers my ability to synthesize, to bring info together, to record scraps of ideas and find them quickly.

So, I'm not buying your argument against reMarkable.
